Recognizable Minor League Stars From Tuesday

Some stats I happened to notice from last night. The statistics to the left are from last night while the statistics to the right are season totals.
You may recognize some of these names from either in-state, SEC competition or Carolina baseball. It does not mean these are the only ones; it’s simply who had a big game last night and how they are doing this season in certain categories. Read it like a typical box score.
Mike Cisco is in Hi-A with a 7-3 record. He dominated last night. Remember Arkansas’ Nick Schmidt? In the same league, Cisco is just better so far – much better. That was not the case in college.
Pedro Avlvarez is doing well in AA ball, while Brandon Waring is hitting long balls but not much else (see average).
Matt LaPorta is tearing it up.
J.P. Arencibia, a Tennessee catcher had a good college career, but I’m not sure anyone expected him to be in AAA this soon. Sure he’s hiting .230, but the 11 HR is a bit of a surprise.
Either way, I thought this was interesting.
